Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Lead and facilitate the company's Academy's technical programs by owning all materials regarding classroom training, systems tracking of current and graduated student driver's status, driver instruction and informational material for Company drivers. Ensure accessibility to training materials while ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements and Company policy.
- Identify training needs and provide instructional material through curricula development.
- Deliver quality instructional material for student drivers in a classroom environment and ensure material is current and accurate.
- Develop and administer student driver testing and evaluations ensuring understanding and retained knowledge of instructional material prior to student advancement.
- Determine competency levels for truck driving ability, including failure and dismissal from Academy.
- Develop and update continuous education programs for current Company drivers including material and format presentation allowing drivers easy access to material and ability to study at their own individual pace.
- Collaborate with I.T. department on intranet computer installations providing program materials and updates.
- Develop and deliver a strategic philosophy concept in an effort to instill a positive student driver perception of the professional driver career.
- Develop and update programs and systems; update P.T.D.I. files and programs.
- Administer V.A. paperwork as needed.
- Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring
- 3+ years experience as an Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver with a class A CDL required.
- Previous experience as driver mentor/instructor preferred.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Must possess advanced communication skills.
- Must possess strong problem solving skills.
- Must be able to handle changing priorities.
- Must engage in on going education relating to teaching skills as part of faculty improvement to maintain post-secondary Education requirements of the state the Academy is licensed in.
- Must complete a minimum of two CVTA modules annually.
- HSD or equivalent required.
- Associates preferred.
Pay Range: $53,325.00 - $76,975.00 Annual
